Long Bio: Sarahlyn Bruck is the author of the award-winning Daytime Drama (2021), which Kirkus Reviews called “A fun, frothy tale that will leave readers excited for a sequel.” Her debut novel, Designer You (2018) won the 2019 Indie Star Book Award and was included on the 2018 “35 Over 35” list. Her latest novel, Offside is forthcoming in fall 2023 from Lake Union Publishing.

Sarahlyn grew up in California’s Bay Area and spent a great deal of time in Southern California, where she attended college before moving to Chicago and then settling in West Hollywood. The years of living and working in L.A. gave Sarahlyn a taste for the fun, fast, ambitious, and creative people involved in the entertainment industry and inspired her to get back to her own creative passion: writing fiction. When Sarahlyn and her family moved to Philadelphia in the summer of 2007, she chipped away at her writing, while falling in love with the colorful, east coast autumns but not so much its snowy, icy winters.

When she’s not writing novels, Sarahlyn teaches writing full time at Bucks County Community College and writes reviews for Washington Independent Review of Books. Occasionally, she’s asked to guest on the Pretty Much Pop pop culture podcast to talk about movies and TV shows. She still feels lucky to live and work in Philadelphia with her family.
